Avoid the registration desk at peak registration times. You’ll wait 30+
minutes. Try arriving a few minutes before they open or wait 90 minutes after
registration opens.
Avoid having breakfast at the Hilton's New York Marketplace, saving yourself
the $36 the restaurant charges for coffee and cold eggs.
Don’t walk show floor without a plan. With 3 levels and multiple rooms and
hallways, you’ll be confused and frustrated. Plan and map your stops (Go to the
“Customize My Event” tab).
Bring along some water. Beverages are few & far between and most likely
you’ll be talking quite a bit.
Don’t schedule meetings back-to-back and forget that you need to take a break
for lunch.
Be prepared for sweltering heat, especially on first exhibit floor. Dress
accordingly.
Make hotel reservations well in advance if you want to stay at the Hilton. Same
for dinner if you have a certain place in mind.
BONUS TIP #1: You can bypass long taxi stand line by simply walking one block
in any direction.
BONUS TIP #2: Waiting for available elevator to go up to hotel room/ meeting
rooms can long at peak hours. Grab one going in any direction at peak
hours just to get in. Expect a bus load of tourists w/luggage to be battling
you for elevator space.
